I haven't been any good at updating lately. Uni has been a bit time consuming and i've also started a new job so yeh....maybe that's way. Maybe not.

Anyways...how's how Wal-Mart is selling coffins now? What's up with that?

Sun and skate and movement and hair

Cruised down to the esplanade (which is like a 5 min walk from home) yesterday with Jono and our friend Redgum who is visiting from the States. The weather was amazing for a change, sunny, hot and lovely. So hot we had to walk back home and change clothes. But as soon as we stepped out again the weather gods turned on us and rain poured down. Classic Melbs....

This and that

Last night Lexi and I went to Burlesque Bar to see Charlie and Cherie perform and as always they were gorgeous on stage. The venue unfortunately was rather shitty. With the name being what it is we were expecting more than just another cute bar in Fitzroy. And not having proper lighting for a stage is just a no go. Anyway it was still fun.

What else?.....Oh, Jono and I went to the Salvador Dali exhibition at the NGV on wednesday with Ken and Ash who were visiting from Sydney. Amazing. Dali what a creative mind, he was involved in basically all design disciplines. The exhibition showcased photography work, paintings, movies, jewellery and fashion. So if you haven't been yet GO! Also at the gallery every wednesday night in september the House of Burlesque is performing a vaudeville show inspired by Dali's muse Gala and Dali's fascination with the subconscious and dreams. Check it out!

Carni nights

Last night Lex and i went to Carni Nights, a fundraiser for the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia. (Fistula is a severe medical condition affecting women in developing countries caused by childbirth and sexual violence). The night offered belly dancing, burlesque, circus and music. The Noise Bar was packed and the show was great. Here are some photos of The Bell Peppers, my dance teacher the gorgeous ballerina Scandalous Scarlett, Frankie Valentine and some other great performers.
